riser block gaskets and thermo assembly

I have a 88 454 serial # b849705 I have 3 in rider blocks and im wondering if I need the restricted gaskets or the 4 large hole ones. Also in the thermo houseing is the thermo supposed to sit on top of that sleeve or under it. I am haveing a heat problem. Pumps are new and getting some flow but I don't think enough.

Ayuh,... The T-stat goes Under the sleeve,...

Donno on the riser gaskets...

Most that I have done used the 4 hole in the bottom position(manifold to block) and the 2 hole in the top position(block to riser)
