Riser Trouble

I took off one of the exaust manifolds and out shot a ton of water from the exaust ports. The manifold/riser gasket was almost gone so I wasn't suprised. I will replace that, but I was wondering about the risers themself. They are rusty on the inside, but theres no damage to the mating surface, or signs of holes from corrosion. What should I look for in riser/manifolds as signs of trouble?

Re: Riser Trouble

Its a saltwater engine. To clarify; I know that the gasket was worn, and this was a water entry point. The actual manifold/riser though, what are qualities that one lloks for the determine if replacement is required. Obviously there is corrosion because of saltwater, but to what extent?

Re: Riser Trouble

If salt water is in the cylinders for 24 hours, we call them junk.
