Rivet alternative - aluminum hull repair

I have about 7 rivets that I can’t replace with rivets due to a big dent in a rib area. I decided to use stainless machine screws and nylon lock nuts and a gob of marine Tex around the screw head (bottom of hull) and Gluvit on the inside.

I’m not fond of the idea, but it’s all I can come up with. Any better choices? I’m pretty sure this will be a leak issue in the future. It’s a dry stored day-use boat but it still feels like a bad idea
