Rochester Carb Vent... Can you fill bowl through there?

Is there any reason why you could not fill the bowl of a Rochester 4bbl through the float vents?

I'm thinking this might be a way to get some concentrated Sea Foam into the carb to attempt to clean out a clogged idle jet.

I'm just trying to think of a way to clean things before resorting to removing the carb...

Thanks!

Compressed air does wonders....But ya you can pour in vent and fill fuel bowl.

Cool. I'll try it. From my experience with motorcycle carbs, a .009 E string from a guitar will fit in just about any jet, but I don't know how far I could get it in with the carb still attached.

This is office chair mechanics... I'll have to wait until the weekend to go down to my slip and mess with the carb. Thanks for the input.

you cant access the jets or metering rods without removing the top of the carb.
