So, I'm a new boater and I hit a rock with the outdrive this weekend (yeah yeah, that's ok..feel free to poke fun). So we seem to have excess bilge water accumulation and there is not a scratch on the hull of the boat. The only visable damage is to the lowest portion of the outdrive under the prop (and the prop itself was chewed--but has been replaced. So my question is the excess bilge water a result of the seal being knocked loose? Or something else? Has anyone expierenced this before? What is the proper thing to do to ensure the outdrive is ok?
thanks,
