Just bought a 'new to me' 2007 Wellcraft Coastal 270. There is a rocker switch on the dash with a 12v battery symbol on it. I'm not sure if it's not doing anything or what it might be for. Any thoughts? Dual battery system with separate on/off switches for each battery.

I agree it could be anything. If everything is working, I might use that switch to control a master solenoid, where I could flip that switch and kill the power to everything on my way out. No more worry over the thought of something left on 3 hours after leaving the boat...

It already has a 12v master for the dash switches

How about a switch powering a "both" solenoid that would let you couple the main and aux batteries together for a low battery scenario (either one)?

Look at the Wellcraft website for Owner's Manuals. They have some for earlier models.

I thought of that.

Did that. Nothing there or in the manual that was worth a crap

Well after seeing what you already tried, you now have to search the wires to see what it is connected to, if anything. Power coming in to it means at one time it could have been used. But someone may have removed that circuit for some reason. So time to trace where the wires go...

Good luck fireman431 I bought a 2002 270 coastal last year and have spent most of that time trying to figure out why it's wired the way it is for example the live well and wash down have different switches but use the same pump, access to the wiring is very limited so it can be difficult The unmarked switch on my dash in the middle of everything was for the windless.
not sating that what yours is but remember that every thing besides the hull is an option and over the last11 years owners have tried there hand at adding or redoing even more stuff
