While attempting to lift my single axle trailer, to get the tires off the ground, I was unable to use the 15" cinder blocks under the axle because the trailer would have been higher than I wanted. So I tried laying the on th 8" side 2-1" blocks = 10" under the frame just in front of the wheel. Looked great after the port side, off the ground 3/4". Went to the other side and repeated the process. Also good. Went back to admire the port side, Wheel wont spin???? Next thing I see....the d**n tongue is off the ground.<br />The jack was still under the axle, so aI raised it so slowly and removed my blocks, and went to other side and did the same. Went in the garage and got the old jack stands. Thats what they made them for. Moral: Don't assume that's close enough. It ain't!!
