Rodbolt or Ray: I broke the bolt that is at the bottom of the engine frame and connects to one end of the ground wire. The other end of the ground wire connects to the other part of the frame that holds the zincs.

The bolt is flush with the bottom. Can I just drill a new hole next to it and tap it? That would be a lot easier than trying to get the old bolt out and the boat is on a lift.

as long as you dont drill into the powertrim the electrons dont care.
and thats not a ground cable, its a bonding wire, it holds the bracket to the same potential as the trim unit to aid in keeping galvanic corrosion at bay.

Thanks for the clarification Rodbolt. I just wanted to confirm that there weren't any hydraulics down there.
