question on rollers. My 16.5 ft fiberglass boat sits on a roller trailer. I put a bigger motor on the boat and needed to move it forward on the trailer. The rollers are on a bracket that holds 4 for each side which was hanging over the back of the trailer...I had to move the whole bracket to move the boat. What I amnot sure of is this...the only place to put the brackets was the next crossmember which puts the rollers more forward of the rear of the boat. Of course there are also keel rollers. I suppose im confused because I usually see rollers right at the back of the trailers..now mine a a few feet forward...do I need to add more rollers for the back?

Re: Roller

Put the rollers back where they were & move the axle backwards instead.

Re: Roller

I agree with Fed, if the boat fit fine before but needed more tongue weight, just move the axle.
The rear most roller should be within about 4" of the transom, too far forward and you may not have enough support under the heaviest part of the boat.

Of course, pictures of your set up would really help.

Re: Roller

On the Spartan roller trailer that I have the roller bunk that holds the rollers has a set of three different holes which allows then to be moved forward or back about 2" form the center holes. Might look to see if yours do the same.
