WOW! I know a few choice words were said when that happened. It looks like it is ground pretty thin. I hope that there is access from the Inside as well. If there is good acess on the inside I would sand and put a couple layers of thick glass 1708 etc. this will help hold the shape. After the inside is cured sand the gnarled side nice and smooth go past the damaged area and get to the good glass . Start layering glass until it is close to original thickness sand fair it out and re gel . There are a few videos on youtube to help with the gel and glass repair. Buy good resin not the Home store stuff.

See that brown spot? We had those on our boat, that is a crack all the way through the hull. Do as stated above.

That spot is right below the motor at the rear of the boat. Is there any way around glassing inside? or would that be a shortcut I dont want to take? I think Im going to fully restore the boat, the more I get involved the more I want it like new. But If I dont have to pull the motor, that would be alot less work this winter outside when it is 0 outside. I plan on buying a portable garage because my garage is full of the other toys for the three boys and little girls(daughter and wife) i.e. atv's motorcycles ect. anyway no room for the boat project in the garage.
