rope stuck in prop

Prop got cuaght on rope which killed the engine. Once back on shore rope was removed from prop and engine will not turn over. When the key is turned a click noise is heard from engine. Were to Start ???

well start by checking to be sure batt cables are tight. and not finger tight put some plyers on them wing nuts and give them a crank.<br />(Service Hint) feed them wing nuts to the fish and install some hex nuts and tighten them with a wrench. bob

what sort of engine?...is it in neutral? is there a lanyard or kill switch?<br /><br />more info please....

I'd pull the plugs first to make sure there isn't water in the cylinders. Does the prop turn when it's supposed to be in nuetral?
