can someone tell me the proper degrees to set the rotary valve on my 1994 seadoo 657cc engine.....i have heard so much conflicting
information...
i made a timing wheel with a compass and protracter and lined up zero degrees with the bottom of the right intake port with the piston at tdc..then set the leading edge of the valve to 147 degrees.....is that correct? or should it be 130 degrees?
any help would be great....by the way i bought this motor with a fried piston so i deceided to bore them both out (.75 mm over, new wsm platinum pistons and rings, found a great crank...)...
also when i tore down the motor inoticed one oil line had broken from the pump because of it becoming brittle.
that piston was the one that fried so i have ordered a oil pump block off plate and going to run 50 to 1 premix....
has anyone done this before and what were your results.?
a couple of years ago i converted my 50hp evinrude outboard that had oil injection to premix by removing the VRO oil/fuel pump and replacing with a stock fuel pump.....it runs fantastic and i know my motor will always hve oil....i hope i get the same results with my seadoo...this will be my first seadoo..
cant wait for spring...thanks very much
