I'm working on a 1960 Starcraft Viking restoration and have taken many good tips from other posts.
I've removed my rotten Deck, cleaned thoroughly, checked for leaks, applied Gluevit and I'm ready to go back in with new foam and decking.
my question is: am I trying to completely seal the area beneath the new decking (keep all water out) or do I need to assume that some water will get beneath the foam for whatever reason (get caught in the rain or something...) and make it so the water can drain out?
I guess I'm trying to learn if I need to attempt to completely seal under the stringers or leave them open for water to flow through.
Any suggestions?
