I have a deck plate on the bow of my 1999 Chaparral. The plate was not sealed properly from the factory around it mounting ring. Now the wood from the perimeter of the hole and and 4" into the is rotted. I scrapped the rotten wood out already. How do you fix this otherwise??<br /><br />Can I just push in some fiberglass resin/filler?? The spot is not in a traffic area the windlass is about 8" from it.<br /><br />Any advise would be a great help!!<br /><br />Thanks!
