I'm really pissed. The damn hillbillies that butchered the boat the first time evidently recognized that the transom was in trouble. Did they replace it? No, they just bolted an extra 2x10 on and drilled through the rotted wood for the engine mount.
Sorry about the short, hate-filled rant. The good news is that we took up part of the deck and the hull is in beautiful shape! No signs of rot whatsoever! Replacing the transom might be a bit of a challenge but is pretty minor in the whole scope of things.
