Just got my tritoon back from having carpet replaced. Process took about a month and took place outside. During the install our area experienced rain weekly. While boat was being worked on I also took the opportunity to replace the trim motor which involved removing the motor cover (motor cover was in place during rains). Boat was running perfectly before the carpet install but upon return and ever since the boat struggles to idle and will quit if throttle is not applied. My first thought is the fuel tank my have condensation in it since it was drained and removed from boat even though it was stored under boat during process. Second thought is I may have pulled wiring loose when attempting to plum trim motor wiring up through base of motor. Third thought is when I removed and installed the cowl I may have pulled something loose since I was doing it alone from the deck of the boat (it was slightly strenuous and awkward). Boat and motor are 19 years old. Any direction would be appreciated.
