Just recently rebuilt my outboard (1995 Mariner 225hp 2stroke), i blew two cylinders due to a couple of cracked oil lines. That went pretty good, all cylinders will hold 100 lbs solid. But since doing so at 1200 - 4300 rpm i get a miss or sputter. It idles at around 500-550 rpm all day. When i try to trailer it back fires a few times then dies. I can get it restarted for a couple of seconds and it dies again. All the spark plugs on the STBD side have a black soot, but the PORT plugs are the nomal brownish color. I've replaced spark plugs, fuel filter, all the wires are solid. i never touched the carbs during the rebuild. What is the common factor that would make on side of the motor foul plugs. PLEASE help anyone that has more knowledge about outboards than I. I dont want to keep throwing parts at it. running out of funds. I have the Seloc manual for this motor but it really dosent give me the info that im looking for....... Thank you in advance

Several things to check:
A) Bleed lines properly routed and installed
B) CDM wiring correct
C) Linkages correct

About the oil feed lines, after the rebuild i replaced a few of the lines that were cracked or busted thinking they were just old and brittle. Yesterday i took it out for a test run and got about 200 ft from the ramp and it died (1/4 throttle) it started back up fine for a few seconds and died again. i drifted back to the pier and found that one of the lines that i replaced was busted again and every time it sputtered or missed blue smoke came out of that line.
