I finally got my boat in the ocean for some real fishing. Headed out of Diablo (next to Panama Canal) and meet up with another boat about 30 minutes from where I put in. From there it was a 20 mile run to the 20 fathom ledge for fishing. Easy going at the start, with a 3' chop, but 15 minutes at the fishing spot, the seas kicked up to 4-6'+ and made it difficult. Only thing biting was Bonito, so we headed to sheltered water at Toboga to find some Sierra. Hooked into a few, and called it a day around 1 pm. Great first trip in the ocean, despite the less than ideal conditions, and one rinsed the bow once while trolling, so it handles rough stuff pretty well!
