RPM Gauge issues

Hey guys. I just recently bought a 95 Trophy CC WA with 96 120 Force and every once in a while at WOT I notice my RPM at 6K (well into the red). If I slow down to no wake speed and then accellerate to WOT again, the RPM will read 5K which is just before the red. I cruise around 28mph on my GPS but 34mph on the speedo (full load). Is it my gauges going bad? I don't notice any difference in the sound of the motor when the RPM reads 5K or 6K.

Re: RPM Gauge issues

Sounds like your tach needle is sticking. Mine used to do the same thing. I had to bang on it to get it to read correctly. I replaced it. No problems now. Most likely your speedometer is also not reading correctly. Probably need to replace them.
