Sender
I do not know which is the sender from the key, can someone help me out.
Also there is a dial with 1,2,3,4 What is that.
Thank you

Re: Rpm gauge (need to know which is the sender wire)

I'm no expert, but the RPM gauge has the 1,2,3,4 settings for 4,6,8 cylinder and alternator settings respectively. It should be set on 4 for alternator if you have a 12 pole stator.
The sender wire is brown and plugs into the control box. You can run the sender from one of the legs of the stator on my 74 Inline 6, but I'm not sure what type of set up you have? If you have a 3 pronged plug outlet in the control box, there should be a plug in with a white wire for 12 V, Black for ground, and brown for tach sender that will run from the box to your tach gauge.
Hope this helps.
