I'd like to attach an inductive RPM guage onto a small 2 stroke outboard to see what it is doing. Is there a simple way to do this and get an accurate reading? I'm thinking that with it firing every stroke, the guage is going to try to compensate and double the RPM. SO if I'm at 5500 rpm, the guage will show 11000 (which it would as it wouldn't go that high).<br /><br />I'm just looking for something to do some testing with and not a permanent solution.
