I believe you need to be above 5000 RPM, looks like range was 5000 - 5500 but there is a gap in the data I have from 82 - 89, so not confirmed for me. With an 11P I am seeing above 27 MPH, but a 50 horse on a 24 footer may not be even close to capable. For that I will defer to others. All answers need to assume the tach is correct and that the engine runs properly. Always the rub with these discussions . . . Good luck and Welcome Aboard!!
