Anybody know where I can get a replacement rubber boot for a 1973 Starcraft Kingfisher 15'? The boot is for where the steering and throttle cables come through the rear bulkhead near the transom.

Thanks

Re: Rubber Boot Replacement

I used a PVC toilet flange (yep, that's right, a plumbing fitting) and a CV-joint boot. Used a fine saw to make 2 halfs, mounted up from the bottom, then added the boot (these are made to be split). Maybe a little unorthodox, but it works, and should last a LONG time - and those boots come in fashion colors!

Ed

Man, you guys are good! :D

Never thought of using other parts to fill in what I can't find.

Going to look at CV boots first, looks like about the right size.

I think a shifter boot would be too small at the top, but if the CV joint boot doesn't fit...
