rubber dam, which way is up!

There is a rubber "dam" in the lower unit of my alpha one gen 2 that I (foolishly) removed for cleaning while replacing my water pump. Now I forget which way is up. One end is solid all the way across and one end has a raised portion at the rounded end. <br /><br />Any help?

Cool, thanks for the pictures and the link to the manual. Didnt even know about that!<br /><br />I look at the upper unit and sure enough there is a little plastic dam, amde more sense then. <br /><br />Thanks for the help!
