Are you talking about the rubber seal that is attached to the cowling's lower edge???
I was able to order one for my 1978 Johnson V-4 from my local dealer's parts dept. last year. So you might want to try your local dealer.

Hi Bullseye422,
I also have a Stinger and faced the same issue. I was told the cowl gasket for mine was NLA, so I made one by slicing a length of black fuel hose down one side then sliding the split seam over the lip on the cowling. I laid a bead of adhesive inside the hose to glue it in place. Worked beautifully and looked pretty good, too! My original was white, but the black hose really sets it off. Looks sharp!
- Scott
