First time poster. Just got a 1960 Evinrude Fastwin (18hp). Going through it (new coils / carb clean). Trying to figure out what the quarter size rubber seals that go around the choke and rich/lean knobs are / where I can buy them. Are these essential? I imagine they are to keep splashing water/ rain out of the motor compartment. They fell apart when I took the carburetor out. Love these forums. You all have been crazy helpful so far.

Ah.. see i knew it was too easy. My model number is the 15032. And if there is anyone else out there that didn't know about the schematic (like me) they are rubber grommets part number 204456.

Thanks Daviet.

You can get new ones from nymarine.com, You can run without them but i would replace them so water doesn`t enter the cowl area and you will probably have an annoying rattle from the vibration of the cowl on the levers.
