Hi guys i'm looking for a nice looking slightly rubbery floor paint for the inside of my 18' TideRunner. Its allready has the carpet out and a glassed in floor with a non skid painted surface but its kinda rough for bare feet. I think the former owner said he mixed sand in with the paint. It works well but it could use a nice coat of white to make it look good.

I noticed topside paint is expensive! Is this what I want to use? If so what is a good product? Thanks in advance

Re: Rubbery floor coating?

If it is sand, you can sand down the tops of it gently with a RO sander until it's comfortable on your feet, and then hit it with a couple coats of paint. I like S3 two-part top coat, but brightsides is also nice. You can make the S3 go a long way if you apply it in many thin coats. This gives the best result anyway- in my opinion. I agree they're expensive, but so is everything these days. Look how much it costs to run your motor on gasoline. Yikes!

Dave - Whats the easiest to apply? I guess I just need a nice tough paint since I have the non skid surface allready. Is that Brightsides paint rubbery? What do you use to paint your boats?

thanks for the help
