Run on Sand, Help

I ran onto sand and motor stalled out. Now I have nothing. No fire at all.(Starter will no hit)<br /><br />What do I do? How much will this cost?<br /><br />86 Johnson 70hp<br /><br />Thanks

I "Ass-u-me" that you did not break off the propeller or any other important parts. If running up on the sand brought the boat to a very abrupt halt (it usually does!) then it's possible that the battery was dislodged/disconnected. If the battery is still where it's supposed to be and all the connections are tight, start tracing the power. Do the lights work? Horn? Bilge Pump? Test for voltage at the starter solenoid. Once you find a point where the electricity isn't flowing, you will probably find some form of physical damage nearby.<br /><br />Good Luck!
