4.3L, MerCruiser (190), Alpha 1 Gen 2, 2003 model year..

I am restoring this boat. 2003 Fisher, aluminum, 18'

Question:

Can I "float" this boat with the drive removed? If so, is there anything I need to do to prepare for a launch with no drive attached?

Thanks.

no, drive needs to be on the boat to float it.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... Yer thread title is very different than yer question,.......

The motor can be run without the drive, so long as you supply water to the motor,.....
You could jam a garden hose into the bellhousin', where the water is normally fed, or to the t-stat housin', at the in-comin' water line port,......

As far as launchin' the boat without the drive, there'll be a stream of water the size of the gimbel bearin' hole Gushin' into the hull,.....
'bout an inch, maybe 1, 1/4" stream of water,....
