I bought a 22 foot pontoon last fall/winter.
Ran around the lake once or twice last year and getting it out now.
I posted another question about my shift cables since joining (thanks)but now am wondering about the motor itself...
It has lower hours, about 30, oil injected and seems to start and run OK.
With myself and 2 kids boat hit 25 mph according to the speedo. I am sure that is optimistic, but with a 13 pitch prop it seems to run out top end as good as I would expect.

Plugs are new. Oil same. Gas is fresh...
I did the easy basic stuff I could think of.
Wondering at lower rpms if there is any trouble or is it just a normal 2 stroke.
It vibrates, shakes, and feels as though it is missing when doing a lower rpm cruise...
I had an older 40 horse Merc and it had a stator bad when I got it, and a malfunctioning coil.
I thought it ran OK when I bought it, but found out about only running on part of the motor (bad coil) later on.
Quite a shot in the arm when it got fixed.
An "easy" way for a novice to determine if everything is OK.
Like I said, I replaced the plugs and checked them a few times, seems like all are firing.
