On my last run for the season, I was going through a no-wake zone for about 1/4 of mile. The boat started to over heat towards the end. Is there anything in particular thing that would cause this? It's a Mercruise/I/O 3.7 Alpha One 1989. The boat was running fine, while pulling the kids on the tube, but once we were just cruising I noticed the motor was spitting out antifreeze after going through the 1/4 mile no-wake zone. Any suggestions would help.

just for the sake of this conversation.....let's say that's the problem. How much work, plus cost is it to replace that water pump?
