Running in rain,

I developed a problem last season with keeping the boat running if it was raining. I could start it but it wouldn't idle. I was figuring on doing a tune, wires, cap, rotor and points but wanted to make sure there isn't some module or something that could also cause the situation.

Look at the engine when raining. Do you see water getting on it anywhere? If you do, then that would be the place to start looking for rust/corrosion issues. Might want to fix it so the engine stays dry when it rains.
