Can I run my 1964 28 hp 2cylinder, 2 cycle with ears muffs?. Because, I do not see the holes to insert the ears muffs.
Is there an option without using the water tank.

Thank you.

Re: running motor with ears muffs.

If I recall correctly, the water intake is under the cavitation plate on that year/model. Muffs won't work unless the ears cover the water intake. The special water adapter for that model is most likely no longer available. You might check E bay or Craig's list.

I believe that model had a "flush" hole above the cavitation plate too. It takes an adapter to screw into the water pump but they are out there and fit lots of different makes. In essence there's lots of ways to run the motor... be careful that you don't run it dry. ;)

get a barrel, and the motor leg has to be 1/2 way submerged. click pic to enlarge, Green- exhaust relief, and tale tell mist. red water pickup, yellow exhaust.
