I'm getting a new F250 for a tri-toon later this winter and want to test my fuel gauge/tank on an inland lake before a long Mississippi River trip next summer. Is there any problem running my fuel tank dry until the motor quits? I want to be sure I know the limits/accuracy of my fuel gauge as well as any issues in restarting the engine. The fuel tank will be new but presume the 10 micron filter will pick up any bottom of tank particles?
