hello all. I was out on a friends new boat yesterday. All was working fine, had it around 4-5000 rpms for about 2 minutes then it went down to 3500, than 3000, than 2500 all on its own. we let it sit for about 5 minutes and it started right up. we than only ran it about 4000 rpms then it did it again. But not all the time. after letting it sit we went at it again and it would run fine for about 10 muinutes and do it again. The temp gauge never went over 150- 200 degreess. Any suggestions? thanks.

by the way its a omc 4.3.thanks again

Fuel problem, most likely a venting issue, but could be the pickup filling with crap.....
Read the fuel system check 'sticky' in the "Adults Only" at the top of the page......
Running it without the fuel cap on will tell you if it is a vent problem....;)

Ayuh,... I agree it's a Fuel Issue,...
I'd start by changing the fuel Filter, 'n inspectin' the contents of the old 1...
