Rust on my Camper Metal Posts were the Micas touches

Good Day,

I have some Rush on some Posts of my Camper Top. The Rush Spots are only were the Micas touches the Metal Posts.
They are not made of aluminium I think, because they are Original 1989 Camper Top Metal Posts.
My Micas are new from last season and where they touch the Metal Post, I can see Rush Spot on the Micas.

What Product do you use to remove & protect the Metal Post to prevent Rust.
What Product can I use to remove Rust Spots on my New Micas ?

After the Clean Up, My Plans are to put Some Kind of Fabric Tape around the Post location were the Micas touches.
Is this a Good idea?

What is/are "Micas"?

If the framework isn't either alum or stainless then it is likely some homebrew... paint would be about the only option and THEN the fabric tape you mention to prevent the paint from wearing off

I believe by "micas", the OP is talking about are clear vinyl windows. I would replace any steel with either aluminum or stainless tubing. If you want to keep the steel, use Rustoleum or the Canadian equivalent product to slow down the rusting.

Micas (we call it in French) are the Clear Vynil Windows as per GA_Boater mentionned.
We do have Rustoleum in canada. This could be an alternative.
What about the Rust Marks on my Clear Vynil Windows?
There's not much but the Vynil are new.
Any product I can use without damaging ??

Use this on your "Isinglass"

Then follow with #18 detailer.

Plexus is the best window cleaner/ protector out there. Look around, they make rubber "bumpers" that "clip" on the tubing. Work well, except the sun turns them to mush after a couple of seasons
