Rustoleum for bottompaint?

Saw where someone used rustoleum for bottom paint.Boat is trailered and they have the color I want to use. was this the topside paint? BTW Crack in keel came out great! Thanks to all. :)

I assume the boat is aluminum?<br /><br />If so, just prime it first with zinc chromate primer.<br /><br />Rust Oleum doesn't dry real hard, it may scratch easier than epoxy paints.

Redneckn<br />Wash with vinegar first then prim with Zinc Chromate primer. If you never leave in the water Rustoleum might be ok. Really you need a paint that will not corrode aluminum (Low or no copper) but maybe ok if prime good first.

redneckn,<br />Yes, I used Rustolium on my tin boat.. It'll Also work well for your app. , even though you have a glass boat, Just Sand everything,+ roll it On....
