I'm following @Woodonglass 's method with Tremclad (Canadian Rustoleum), and adding the hardener. It will be applied in a heated but cool shop (~ 65F). I already have a stripped hull, coated with self-etching primer and two coats of Tremclad primer on top. It's been wet-sanded with 320. I'm wondering about re-coat times for the finish coat. Here's the quote from those awesome instructions:
"Let the first coat dry for minimum of 4 hours.
Wet sand with a Scotch Brite pad. Wipe down with Acetone.
Apply 2nd & 3rd Coats Same as First."
Does that 4 hrs apply to rolled coats as well? I'm planning to thin with acetone per the instructions as well due to cooler temps. I'm just trying to figure out my work flow. If I can get three coats on in one day with maybe 4-6 hrs between each, that'd be a dream. I just don't want to mess this up!
