Rusty sump

My searay seville mercruiser sump is looking a little rusty in places. can it be replaced without removing engine. It looks maybe possible.

if its not leaking get yourself some hammerite smoothe paint.if it is its time to pull.what engine are we talking about too.

Ayuh,... I guess the truth hurts sometimes,...

The motor absolutely positively HAS to come out to change the oil pan,...
No way 'round it....

Boatin' in the brine rots 'em out,...

Good paint, a dry bilge, 'n a freshwater wash down help...

You need to drop the pan about the same distance as the pan is deep since the pick-up screen is at the bottom of the pan and you have to drop the pan below the pick-up.
