After a brutal winter was pleased the motor fired and ran with no hesitation , I let run 10 min or so to bring it up to temp on the muffs.
I did this wilt the engine cover off but silencer on. The next day I went to run it again with the intent to spray some carb cleaner into the throttle plates
upon removing the silencer I noticed MORE than a usual amount of raw tcw3 pooling in the bottom of the lower cowl. I sopped it up and did my spray thing.
again it ran fine no alarms later I tilted it up to replace zinks and lube tilt /grease fittings Later when tilted back down I noticed raw oil running down the leg
I have looked at my manual and the went back and saw no obvious loose fittings (would have to be on supply side right ?
this is a 2002 carbed Johnson 175

Anything I missed and should be looking at before I have to call the mech.

Sometimes the carb inlet needles(and you have six of them) will stick a bit during layup. Wait a day or so and run the motor, and they should free up. Fuel should not leak from the carbs when she is running in normal tilt. Raw fuel can leak when motor is tilted up. That is pretty normal.

As Chris said...

However, why are you using carb cleaner in the manner you described? It can damage your engine by washing off the oil coating internally.

You're better off with something like Seafoam, that will loosed parts and decarb the motor as well - a good thing. It can also sometimes free up recirc valves.

I used seafoam spray,as cleaner as per instructions , the issue is excess raw tcw3 (more than I'm used to seeing) I'm going to run it again this weekend and see if I can detect a leak
