I recently purchased my first powered boat. Its a beater. 1972 Fiberform 19 Foot. Where on the hull is the SN located so I can verify with the registration papers? Is there a way to confirm if the engine is the original and the same for the outdrive. I guess what I need is like factory historical data? HELP I can,t say that I have ever seen one like this before. Its covered in the front with a fiberglass roff with sliding windows on the side. The roof almost looks like the roof design of a 56/57 Tbird without the porthole. Can you maybe tell me what model this is ? Well its -10 out there today so I think I will let it set before I move it to the barn any info on this boat would be appreciated, and ifffff you think I need to know something that I didn,t ask for well tell me that to. Thank You Old Jim

Re: S.N. Verification

HI>>>>>>WELCOME TO I BOATS !

the sn on a 71 should be on the port side inner gunwhale, or on the starboard back area inside the boat to the right of the motor (in the passenger area, not the motor compartment)
chances are not good that it is stamped into the hull on the exterior of the transom

the engine serial number will be on the block on a little tag above the starter. the od serial number will be on the side of the drive.

fiber form will have the info on the matching of the drive/motor.

post pics and we can help you with any other issues/questions you have with the boat.....congratulations.....and again....

welcome to iboats

cheers
