My mate and I spent a couple of days checking out this place to fish. It involved going out at low water and experimenting how close to the rocks we could get along with how shallow we could fish. Finally we settled on a spot and decided that was the one for last nights fishing, marked it onto the GPS and away we went to get our gear. Out from the ramp in the evening and off to ournew spot, no one there except us so we baited up and cast into 1m (3') of water. Bites immediately, we thought we were made!
Next thing out of nowhere comes these windsurfers, going like a rocket and they decided to use us as a marker bouy! Nothing would entice them to leave us alone. They played around for a couple of hours and we didn't get a single bite whilst they were there. Ruined our trip out to say the least.
When one of them fell off he commented from about 5m away that he could stand up and the fishing would be no good, he was standing in waist deep water.
Now I know that reef system is a good one because I've personally pulled some great snapper out from there, but these goons didn't even attempt to understand what we were doing. Rather they decided to destroy our enjoyment just to satisfy their own.
Never mind perhaps some day they'll need my help!!!
We returned home without any fish.
Ross

Re: Sabotage

Push a surf board out upside down like the ad on TV Ross. That might work or accidentally cast a heavy sinker (without looking).

Peter

Re: Sabotage

I keep an ultra lite with a great big zaraspook on it for such occasions. works well on pwc riders as well.
