Safest Way to hook tube rope to eye hook?

See the picture for the style of hook I have. What is the safest way to connect a tube rope to it?

Up through the bottom, the pull the loop through and hook it to the front side of the hook?

i found the best way i can think of is going down through completely out the bottom then hooking into the hook from the bottom side

I like to wrap the rope around my finger once to create a loop inside a loop. Your rope has a loop in the end already right, the smaller loop you wrapped around your finger is the one you put on the hook from underneath. This way it cinches around the hook and doesnt want to come off if the tube drifts toward the boat in waves etc.

That is the way everybody I know does it, and even with the whippiness of some of those bungee style tube lines, it has yet to come undone.

That looks pretty sturdy, but my rope is quite thicker. It might have some issues with doing it, but I am sure going to try.
