safty devices, that time again

yep, finally got out on the water. no fish but was a wonderful eastern NC day.
however a reminder, time to rechecl ALL safty gear and regulations.
on the way back down Indian town creek the fish cop stopped me and checked everything, all good no tickets .
about a mile on down at the coinjock bridge the Coast Gaurd borded me and checked even more thouroughly.
still no ticket but they did point out some wear and tear on some items that need to be addressed shortly.
both boardings were very professional and very courteous, I know they can be a pain but thank god we have them.

glad ya got out. benefits of being down south i reckon. not happening here though. i went to the lake yesterday too. nothing but snow and ice and this weeks forecast is for single digits overnight with highs below freezing. again...
