Lots and lots and lots of times. Never been a problem in Oregon anyway, not even an inspection. Even made one car out of two several times. A great repair "if done properly" But how do you know if you are the buyer???
An article, this weekend, talked about a 60 day wait for salvage title vehicle inspections in Washington State. A Washingtonian had purchased a salvage vehicle in Oregon, brought it home and was po'd because he could not get it licensed. He even has to buy a $20 permit to drive it to the inspection station 60 days from now.

Yeah, L'Dude. You can talk. Oregon does not even have to 'brand' the title for salvage or lemon law vehicles. Inspection? What inspection? We don't need no stinkin inspections! <br /><br />ps, it would still show up on a title search, however.
Ryan T, you need to contact whatever branch of your state government titles & licenses vehicles. Every state is different, too different for any of us to properly answer your questions. <br />If you don't understand what the MA stae gov't tells you, go to a auto body repair shop & ask them if they "rebuild" cars, and what they have to do.
