Re: salmon & steelheads

Up here in northern New England, we go for land-locked salmon. Although, I understand that Maine has opened up the lower Kennebec River for a short duration season on Atlantic Salmon.:)

I do a lot of that in Lake Ontario.
Steel head in winter in the creeks,Coho in early spring on the lake close to the mouth of the river and King Salmon in July and August in deep water.

I fish mostly for salmon and steelhead living in NW Washington within two miles from the Skagit river. Which is only a handful of rivers that have all five major types of salmon chinook, silver, chum, sockeye, and humpys plus both native and hatchery steelhead. We also fish in puget sound being 20 miles from the boat launch for salmon, ling cod, and halibut.
