Hey guys, I have some back coves of a local coatal town I live close to I want to fish.

I was told that you can't use a rubber/freshwater pump in saltwater conditions.

Anyone got any links to this subject...? If I do have to use a stainless impeller where do I find one.
I have been looking online.

Stainless impeller???...that's a new one! All impellers are rubber. You're fine...just flush your motor thoroughly after each use in salt water while the motor is running on muffs or better in a barrel of fresh water.

Probably referring to the stainless pump housing that is offered on some models. I hear they're good for dirty water, sand uptake etc. Don't think it'd be better in salt water, especially since you should flush w/fresh after use anyway..

I think he's refering to the chrome water pump hsg that is NLA from BRP. As said, just flush it after every use and he should be okay.
