Have a 1999 Sportcraft 251 with a 5.7 inboard and velvet drive transmission. Noticed slipping and found milk on the dipstick. Found the oil cooler had been letting water into trans and trans oil out the exhaust. Don't really know how long this has been going on. I filled the trans with oil to prevent rust and I'm looking for the cooler now. Question is, how is the best/easiest way to drain this trans since I will be doing it several times to flush it? And, is there anything I need to do or consider since this thing has run for a few hours with saltwater being cycled through? Thanks, JEC
