Hey guys, have a model number question. My question is , where can I find it if there appears to be no plate on the transom mount. I have searched for a number on the block and found 64E on the top of the block. Marinshopen seems to think this is a 200, but my cowling says 150 hp. wish I could tell you more, new to the Yammies (always been an OMC man). I believe the motor is a 1996, and I want to get the right manual for it and lucky me, the manuals seem to change at 1995. If anyone could help I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks! Corey

I feel your fustration. I can only find small numbers 1 to 4 igits long on my motor as well. The cover has been repainted camo colors and the actual motor is no help either..I have looked all over it but nothing resembeling a serial #...I am reduced to having people look at photos to try to guess a year and model #..I too just want to know what manual i need

Did you ever find out the info you required ??

If they are carb motors, the differences in the manuals between !990 and new are very few. the basic parts and adjustments vary little. If not carb motors, it is a different ball game.
