San Pablo Bay Hot Spots??

Anyone ever get out to these spots? I have a 12 ft aluminum boat and have been itching to take it out to some of these places. I was wondering which spots would be safe for me.

The Pumphouse

Marin Islands

Shell Bank

The Sisters

McNears Brickyard

China Camp

Bouy 5

Bouy 7

Bouy 9

The Brothers Area

Paradise Cove

I know it depends on wind conditions etc...but overall, could I go to any of these spots?

I think it would be a bit rough. I take my 16 foot trihull out in the suisun bay and at times I will take on water while traveling. I am fine in the standstill though. I would like to know if san pablo would be safe for me as well. I have never actually been fishing there.

I just hit up Berkley for the first time and i woudlnt even think of taking my boat there lol. Was fun off the pier even though we didnt catch anything.

The problem with both the San Pablo Bay and the SF Bay is that when the wind picks up in the afternoon, its not fun. I use to take a 12' fiberglass Livingston boat out there and in the Carquinez Straits, but the hull was designed for the currents and small chop.

yeah, that wind gets rough. After fishing in the Paradise area a few times from the shore, I wouldn't take my boat out there. I've been down around marker 9 in the napa river and had it get too windy and we took on water while moving. Then again, I've been at china camp and watched my buddy take one of those dual pontoon lawn chairs out just fine. lol...

Guess I'd have to check the weather and stick to the mornings. I want to go out near Black Point launch...it's not too far to get into the Bay from there. Been out there?

I've seen 16 foot boats out there over the trench at China Camp just fine and out in Paradise. Here's where we shore fish (Paradise).
